1960年，苏州丝绸工学院在姑苏成立，此后的1978年，苏州丝绸工学院图书馆建成。馆内收藏的大量丝绸领域的古籍文献成为了全国丝绸研究的重要资源库。现如今这座图书馆建筑作为校内自主创业园区，在以一种全新的姿态融入现代生活。

In 1960, Suzhou Institute of Silk Technology was established in Gusu (present-day Suzhou). Its library, completed in 1978, became a nationally significant repository for ancient texts and archival materials on sericulture and silk craftsmanship. These collections remain indispensable resources for academic research in the field. Today, the historic library building has been innovatively repurposed as an on-campus entrepreneurship hub, where heritage architecture harmonizes with contemporary creative ventures – a seamless blend of tradition and modernity that revitalizes space for today's lifestyle.
