I. b+ N! ^" J8 S0 z ‘Passage de la Brie’ Housing by Explorations Architecture1 N4 o9 j$ X' E1 m/ W Explorations architecture has just completed a high density social housing project in the ‘Passage de la brie’ in downtown historic Paris (19ème arrondissement). 1 |1 V3 d, \+ e& p2 u1 V) G) { V2 X The Passage de la brie is one of the narrowest street in Paris (only 4m across).8 i* N$ {6 H7 `2 m0 ?6 I In 2005, Explorations won the competition to redevelop what had become a real slum in the middle of the City. It took 6 years to complete due to complex planning and construction issues.8 \8 n( P% Z! m5 U% y5 e7 H. j 2 F6 K6 p4 N6 t The scheme is a contemporary variation on the “immeuble parisien de faubourg” with its white stucco and timber windows.
